Day 1: Mumbai – Mangalore

Arrive at Mangalore airport and meet our representative. Check in to your pre-booked hotel in Mangalore. The pleasant, hilly town of Mangalore on the Arabian Sea coast was an important shipbuilding center and strategic port in older times and is now a center of cashew and coffee export. It is said to be named after Mangala Devi. The town has a languid, tropical atmosphere and a strong Roman Catholic influence. Pristine and unexplored beaches around Mangalore are a delight.
Visit the thousand pillar Jain temple at Moodbidri & the Manjunatheshwara temple at Dharmasthala dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lastly visit the famous Kukke Sri Subrahmanya temple where Lord Shiva’s son Kartikeya is worshipped as Subrahmanya, lord of all serpants.

Day 2: Mangalore – Udupi (60kms ~ 1hr)

After breakfast set out for local sightseeing of Mangalore. Visit the 10th century tile-roofed Mangala Devi temple dedicated to a form of Shakti and the Shreemanthi Bai memorial museum whose collection includes porcelain, wood carvings, and archaeological and ethnological exhibits. Also take a tour of red tile and cashew nut factories and visit the St. Alosyius Chapel with fresco-covered walls and ceiling. Later drive towards Udupi. On arrival check in to your pre-booked hotel.
In the evening visit Kapu beach or spend your evening at leisure.

Day 3 Udupi

Today after breakfast visit the Udupi Shri Krishna temple. This temple was founded by the Vaisnavite saint Shri Madhavacharya in the 13th century. The unique feature of this temple is that the Lord is worshipped only through a window with nine holes called the Navagraha Kindi. One can also visit Chandramouleeswara and Anantheshwara Temples adjacent to Shri Krishna Temple that are about 2000 years old. Later visit Kudlu Teertha falls & the Coin Museum. Also visit the Durgaparmeshwari temple.

Day 4 Udupi- Murudeshwar (102kms ~ 1hr 45min)

After breakfast check out from your hotel and drive towards Murudeshwar. Murudeshwar is a town on the coast of the Arabian sea in Uttara Kannada district. It has the second biggest statue (123ft) of Lord Shiva in the world.
Check in to your pre-booked hotel. After freshening up we visit the Murudeshwar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has a 20 storey high Gopura and at 249ft tall is considered the tallest Gopura in the world. Visit the Murudeshwar Fort that belongs to the era of the Vijayanagara Kings. Later visit Bhatkal beach which is located near the Murudeshwar temple. If time permits you can also enjoy water activities Netrani Island which is 20km inside the sea from Murudeshwar.

Day 5 Murudeshwar – Karwar (118kms ~ 2hr 15min)

After breakfast check out from your hotel in Murudeshwar and drive towards Karwar which is a top beach destination and lies at the mouth of the Kali river. This is an ancient city which was mainly used for sea trade with the Arabs, Europeans & the British.

After freshening up visit the Karwar beach or the Rabindranath Tagore beach which is the main beach of the city. It also has a recreational park, planetarium and aquarium. There is also a warship museum here which is a special attraction. Visit the Rock Stone Garden & the Sadashiv Garh fort built at the confluence of the Kali River meeting the Arabian sea. Also visit the Ulavi Caves which is a place of religious importance for the Lingayat sect. Enjoy the sunset on the Kali Bridge.

Day 6 Karwar

Spend the day at leisure & explore the city on your own. You can also visit the places left out from the previous day’s itinerary, if any.

Day 7 Karwar – Mumbai

After breakfast check out from your hotel and drive towards Karwar railway station where you will board your train for Mumbai.
