ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 1 Colombo
Tour starts with Colombo city tour. You will be visiting the famous places like Independence Hall at Independence Square, Fort district, Old parliament. A must visit place is National Museum and Twin world trade center towers. Drive through Colombo Lotus Tower, Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque, the Viharamahadevi Park and Galle Face Green. Colombo is also famous for shopping.
Day 2 Colombo – Kandy
Today drive to Kandy which was the last capital of the ancient Kings of Sri Lanka. Kandy is delared as Seven World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka by UNESCO must visit is the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Day 3 Kandy
Local tour of Kandy with Temple of Tooth Relic aka Dalada Maligawa, the Gem Museum. Take a leisure walk around the Kandy lake and visit the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue & Rangala House Art Gallery.
Day 4 Kandy – Ella
Today take a historic train ride to Ella. It is a Scenic route running through hills and tea plantation.
Day 5 Ella – Nuwara Eliya
Full day visit of Nuwara Eliya. Visit Seetha Eliya and one of the oldest post offices in the world which started in 1894.
Day 6 Ella
Full day visit of Ella – the nine arches bridge, Rawana falls, Little Adam’s peak, Ravana’s cave, Lipton’s seat, Demodara railway loop, Ellatota Ella waterfall & Yala National Park.
Day 7 Ella – Galle – Bentota
Visit Galle Dutch fort which is a historic fortress with shops and a museum. Galle Fort- Lighthouse- Stately Lighthouse with a swimming beach, Galle Fort – National Maritime Archaeology Museum. The Unawatuna Beach is a golden sand beach where you can enjoy the water activities, Jungle beach with a beach bar. If time permits you must go for the popular activity of Whale watching Cruise.
Day 8 Bentota
Bentota is the city of golden beaches. Here you can enjoy water sports as well as go for a boat ride in Madhu river. Visit the turtle hatchery site.
Day 9 Bentota – Colombo
Transfer to Colombo Airport to connect onward destination.
