Nashik - 2 Days

ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1: A religious place in Maharashtra is Nashik. It is also known as Dakshin Kashi.   Muktidham a temple with replica of 12 jyotirlingas and many Hindu Goddesses is a must visit in Nashik.   It is believed that Rama did rituals of his fathers while he was on Vanvas the place is known as Ram Kund.  Kalaram Mandir and Sita Guha / cave  are some places on the banks of Godavari river.

Day 2: About 20 kms from the city center is  Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga located at the foothills of the Bramhagiri mountains.   Nashik is also hosts Mint and adjoing is the coin museum which is one of its kind museum in Asia.   On the way visit  Pandavleni  / Pandav Caves.  Those who are interested in Indian Cinema must visit the Dada Saheb Phalke institue next to Pandav Caves.
