Overview:

Experience the breathtaking Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the world-famous Great Migration, an abundance of wildlife, and stunning landscapes. This 3-day safari offers thrilling game drives, close encounters with Africa’s iconic animals, and an insightful cultural experience with the Maasai people.

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Distance & Travel Time:

• Nairobi to Maasai Mara – Approx. 280 km (5–6 hours drive)

Itinerary:

• Morning: Pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Meet your guide and depart for Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Enjoy a photo stop with panoramic views of the valley.
• Midday: Stop in Narok town for lunch and refreshments.
• Afternoon: Continue to Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving in the late afternoon. Embark on an exhilarating afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife.
• Evening: Check-in at your lodge/camp. Enjoy a warm welcome, relax, and savor a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Itinerary:

• Early Morning: Depart for a sunrise game drive. Early hours offer the best chances of witnessing predators in action.
• Mid-Morning: Continue game drives across the reserve’s rolling savannah. Witness the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) and the famous Great Migration (seasonal).
• Midday: Stop at Hippo Pool for a picnic lunch while observing hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River.
• Afternoon: Another game drive in search of rare species and breathtaking landscapes.
• Evening: Return to camp/lodge for relaxation, dinner, and a campfire experience under the African stars.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

• Morning: Enjoy an optional Maasai Village Cultural Tour (07:30 – 09:00 AM), where you’ll learn about Maasai traditions, warrior culture, and daily life.
• Mid-Morning: Depart Maasai Mara and begin the journey back to Nairobi.
• Midday: Stop for lunch in Narok town.
• Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi in the late evening. Drop-off at your hotel or airport.
