Day 01: Arrival in Paro
Arrive at Paro International Airport in Bhutan, where you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Take time to settle in, explore Paro’s bustling local market, or unwind at your leisure.

Day 02: Paro to Thimphu (50.7 km, 1 hr 20 min)
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the lively capital of Bhutan. Discover the city’s rich heritage with visits to the National Memorial Chorten, National Library, and National Heritage Museum, and marvel at key landmarks, including Semtokha Dzong. Continue to Buddha Point for a panoramic view of the city, and browse traditional crafts at the Government Handicraft Emporium and local craft shops.

Day 03: Thimphu Cultural Exploration
Spend the day delving deeper into Thimphu’s culture, visiting the Royal Blacksmith Workshop, Folk Heritage Museum, Tashichho Dzong, and Changangkha Monastery. Gain insights into Bhutanese traditions at the National Textile Museum, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, and the School of Arts.

Day 04: Thimphu to Bumthang (271 km, approx. 10 hrs)
Set out for Bumthang, a scenic journey through lush valleys and mountain views. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 05: Bumthang Highlights
After breakfast, begin your exploration of Bumthang’s sacred sites. Visit Jakar Dzong, the ancient Jambay Lhakhang temple from the 7th century, Kurje Lhakhang, Tamshing Monastery, and Kenchosum Monastery. This immersive sightseeing route is perfect for exploring on foot.

Day 06: Bumthang to Wangdue Phodrang/Punakha (203 km, approx. 8.5 hrs)
After breakfast, embark on a journey to Wangdue Phodrang via the spectacular Dochu La Pass, offering vistas of Bhutan’s mountain ranges. Visit the historic Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong, home to sacred relics and the preserved body of Bhutan’s unifier, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.

Day 07: Wangdue/Punakha to Paro (113 km, approx. 3 hrs)
Return to Paro and head out to explore the renowned Taktsang Monastery, or “Tiger’s Nest,” perched dramatically on a cliffside. Take the evening for personal exploration and shopping in Paro.

Day 08: Departure from Paro
