ITINERARY OVERVIEW

07 Nights – 08 Days

 

Day 01: Guwahati – Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary (54.6 Kms – 1H 55Min)
Arrive at Guwahati airport and visit Kamakhya temple. Later transfer to Pobitora Wild Life Sanctuary (70 Km/2 Hrs). Check in to Hotel.

Overnight: Guwahati.

Note: Flights before 12 O’ clock is recommended.

Day 02: Pobitora – Manas National Park (195 Kms – 5H 34Min)
Morning 01 round of jeep Safari. Later drive to Manas National Park. Reach Manas and check in to hotel.

Overnight: Manas.

MANAS NATIONAL PARK:

The National Park was designated as a Tiger Reserve in 1973. Situated in the foothills of Bhutanese Himalaya, it is famous for its majestic Tiger and Golden Leaf Monkey discovered only a few decades ago. It is a paradise for bird lovers. Birds which can be seen here are the Giant Horn bills, Pheasants, Jungle Fowl, Scarlet Minivet, Partridge, Florican and variety of water birds.

Day 03: Manas National Park
After breakfast go for a jeep safari in the most beautiful point of Manas National Park – Mathanguri.

Overnight: Manas.

Day 04: Manas – Nameri National Park (264 Kms – 7H 3Min)
After breakfast drive to Nameri / Bhalukpong and check in at Eco Camp / Prashaanti Cottages.

Dinner & Overnight at Nameri.

NAMERI NATIONAL PARK:

Covering an area of 200 sq.km, situated in the District of Sonitpur; the Nameri is the third National Park of Assam. It is a Tiger Reserve and also a birders paradise with more than 376 species of birds recorded so far. The inaccessibility and continuity with the neighboring forest areas have helped the wildlife of Nameri to flourish. There is a good prey base in the form of Sambar, Barking deer, Hog Deer, Wild Boar and Gaur. About 3000 domestic cattle also form part of this prey base for Tiger and Leopards.

Day 05: Nameri
Today early morning at about 05.30 a.m, we set to explore the park on foot (3.2km), after the trek back to the camp. After having breakfast go for an exclusive rafting (mild rapids) trip on Jia – Bhoreli river, flowing along the National Park, for water birds. Return back to the camp.

Overnight: stay at camp.

Day 06: Nameri – Kaziranga National Park (89.3 Kms – 2H 18Min)
After breakfast check out & drive to Kaziranga. Check in Hotel.

Overnight: Kaziranga.

Kaziranga National Park:

In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq km, is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.

Day 07: Kaziranga
After breakfast enjoy the Park on a Jeep. Evening visit tea garden and local villages.

Overnight: Kaziranga.

Day 08: Kaziranga – Guwahati (193 Kms – 3H 58Min)
After breakfast check out and drive to Guwahati airport.

End of the tour with unforgotten memories.
