Day 05: Day Trip to Alexandria
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a day trip to Alexandria. Start with a visit to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Stroll through the lush gardens of Montazah Palace and visit the Roman amphitheater (if open). Admire the modern Stanley Bridge before exploring the renowned Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which houses over 8 million books. You can also explore the local market for Egyptian goods and visit the Abu El Abbas Mosque before returning to your hotel in Cairo.
