Day 01: Bhopal
Arrive at Bhopal & you will be met & transfer to the Hotel in Bhopal.Today depart for a tour of Bhopal,the capital of Madhya Pradesh,is situated against the background of hills that give it a salubrious climate.It was the only principality ruled by noblewomen for long periods,who contributed to the city’s architecture, more notably its mosques.Situated around two artificial lakes,parts of Bhopal have a spacious feel with pleasant parks,broad avenues and modern public buildings.The older part of the city has crowded markets,huge mosques and palaces.Take a tour of Bhopal visiting the Upper & Lower Lakes,Laxmi Narayan temple,Birla museum,Kilol Park,Kamla Park,the Taj-ul-Masjid,one of the largest mosques in India,the Moti Masjid and SadarManzil.Drive past the VidhanSabha, Tagore memorial and the National Archives of India.

Day 02: Bhopal – Sanchi – Udaigiri (56.8 Kms – 1H 27Min)
Today later in the afternoon proceed for tour of Sanchi.58 km northeast of Bhopal liesSanchi,one of the most important Buddhist sites in India.Despite the damage,which had been wrought after its discovery,Sanchi is a very special place with a quiet stillness that is lost to many other famous places of pilgrimage. The sculptures here are full of vitality and freshness typical only to the beginning of a cultural era.The site basically consists of a hill crowned by a group of stupas,chaityas and monasteries,the earliest of which date to the 3rd century BC.From the 14th century the site lay forgotten till its rediscovery in 1818.Later head for the Udaigiri Caves in Sanchi,India. It is around 13 km from Sanchi.Udaigiri Caves comprise of both Hindu and Jain caves that run in sequence one after another.These caves are world renowned.They have great historical significance.

It is believed that SanchiUdaigiri Caves were inhabited by the Buddhist Monks in 2 B.C.These caves were formed into sandstone hills.Today, in these caves you will come across the elaborate carvings of Lord Vishnu.Besides,you will also be delighted to chance upon the ruins of the 6th century Gupta temple.This temple is perched on the summit of the hill.This temple is reckoned among the pioneers following whom other temples were built in India.

Day 03: Bhopal – Bhimbetka (44.5 Kms – 1H 21Min)
Today proceed for a tour excursion of Bhimbetka.Bhimbetka,amidst teak and sal forests 45 km south of Bhopal lie the rock shelters of Bhimbetka.This is South Asia’s richest collection of pre-historic paintings and other archaeological discoveries.The ancient paintings made using natural pigments are remarkably well preserved and depict the life and times of our forbears.Themes include wild animals,hunting scenes,communal dancing,religious rites etc.the oldest paintings are believed to be up to 12,000 years old.After your visit drive to the hotel in Bhopal.

Day 04: Bhopal – Mandu (286 Kms – 5H 9Min)
After your early breakfast,drive to Mandu.Later proceed for a tour of Mandu.If there is a place in India that captures the magical moments of romance,it is Mandu, the hilltop fort founded in the 10th century.The silent ruins here evoke memories of yesteryears,of the love of BazBahadur for his queen,Rani Rupmati.The palaces of Mandu are built around water tanks and are designed to derive maximum water from the terrain.For a ghost town it is very grandiose and impressive, and has one of the best collections of Afghan architecture in India.During the monsoons Mandu is a delightful, tranquil retreat where the silence of the past is a constant companion.Tour around Mandu visiting the 15th century JahazMahal flanked by two lakes, the HindolaMahal or audience hall,Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, India’s first marble monument built in 1432 and the adjoining Jama Masjid which took three generations to complete.The Palace of BazBahadur is a 16th century building in a mix of Rajasthani and Mughal styles,with the terrace providing lovely views.Near by is Rani Rupmati’s Pavilion,built by BazBahadur so that his queen Roopmati could view the Narmada river.

Day 05: Mandu – Maheshwar – Indore (134 Kms – 3H 16Min)
Morning after breakfast drive to Indore en-route visit Maheshwar.Take a tour of Maheshwar visiting the fort.The palace within has exhibits of the Holkar family treasures and memorabilia,including a small shrine on a palanquin which is carried down into the town every year for the Dusshera festival.There is also a life size statue of Queen Ahilyabai.Also worth visiting are the Ghats along the river bank and the temples of Kaleshwar,Rajarajeshwar,Vithaleshwar and Ahileshwar, remarkable for their carved overhanging balconies and intricately worked doorways.After your visit drive to Indore.

Day 06: Indore – Omkareshwar (77.8 Kms – 2H 18Min)
Today proceed for a tour of Omkareshwar.Omkareshwar the sacred island,shaped like the holiest of all Hindu symbols, ‘Om’, has drawn to it hundreds of generations of pilgrims.Here at the confluence of the rivers Narmada and Kaveri,the devout gather to kneel before the Jyotirlinga (one of the twelve throughout India) at the temple of ShriOmkarMandhata.And here as in so many of Madhya Pradesh’s sacred shrines,the works of Nature complement those of man to provide a setting awe-inspiring in its magnificence.After your visit drive to the hotel in Indore

Day 07: Indore
The rapidly growing city of Indore stands on the banks of Saraswati and Khan rivers.Apart from being an important center for cotton textiles and automobiles,it is also notable for Hindustani classical music.It also acts as gateway to the pilgrimage towns of Ujjain and Omkareshwar,and a good base to visit Mandu.Toady take sightseeing tour of Indore visiting the Lalbagh Palace,which was once the residence of the Maharaja and now houses a museum and cultural center.Exhibits include sporting trophies,coins,miniatures,sculptures,paintings etc.Also see the New Palace and visit the KanchMandir,a Jain temple with interiors decorated with thousands of mirrors supplemented by ceramic tiles,cut glass chandeliers and Chinese lamps.There are about 50 murals,with glass beads and raised figures creating a three dimensional effect.

Day 08: Indore
Today day at leisure later check out of the hotel and drive to Indore airport,you will be transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
