ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 01: NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Phuentsholing (152 Kms | Approx. 3 hrs 43 min)
Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted to Phuentsholing, known as the Gateway of Bhutan. This bustling town sits on Bhutan’s border, offering a first glimpse into the serene landscapes of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and unwind.

Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu (165 Kms | Approx. 4 hrs 34 min)
After breakfast, complete immigration formalities and proceed to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital, situated at an altitude of 7,710 ft. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong, an iconic fortress and monastery that houses Bhutan’s government offices and is steeped in rich history.

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing
Begin your day with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), home to a towering Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a revered monument, and the Folk Heritage Museum to explore Bhutan’s traditional lifestyle. In the afternoon, visit Sangaygang View Point for panoramic views, Changangkha Monastery, and the Takin Preserve Centre to see Bhutan’s national animal.

Day 04: Thimphu – Paro (50.3 Kms | Approx. 1 hr 13 min)
After breakfast, transfer to Paro, stopping en route at the historic Tamchog Lhakhang, accessible via a traditional iron chain bridge. Upon arrival in Paro, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum, housing exquisite Bhutanese art and relics, and explore the impressive Rinpung Dzong, which serves as Paro’s administrative and judicial center.

Day 05: Paro Sightseeing
Today, visit the remarkable Drukgyel Dzong and embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, known as the “Tiger’s Nest,” perched on a cliffside. The excursion includes a scenic two-hour trek, providing stunning views of the valley. Conclude with a visit to the historic Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
