Day 01: Paro Arrival & Transfer to Thimphu
Arrive at Paro Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.), Bhutan’s capital. Upon hotel check-in, embark on a sightseeing tour that includes Kuensel Phodrang, where a grand Buddha statue overlooks the city, the National Memorial Chorten, a beloved worship site, and Tashichho Dzong, the government and monastic seat. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum to explore Bhutan’s cultural traditions.

Day 02: Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue via Dochu-La Pass
After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue, stopping at the stunning Dochu-La Pass (3,150 meters) for panoramic views of the Himalayas. In Punakha, visit the iconic Punakha Dzong, built in 1637, which served as Bhutan’s government seat and remains the winter residence of the Je Khenpo. Next, enjoy a short excursion to Chhimi Lhakhang, the “Temple of Fertility,” revered for its blessings for couples.

Day 03: Excursion to Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley)
After breakfast, set off on a full-day excursion to Gangtey Valley (9,840 ft.), known for its beauty and as the winter home of the endangered Black-Necked Cranes. Visit Gangtey Monastery, one of Bhutan’s oldest, and take in the breathtaking valley scenery. Return to Punakha/Wangdue in the evening.

Day 04: Punakha/Wangdue to Paro
Post-breakfast, journey to Paro, stopping en route at Lamperi’s Royal Botanical Park, which houses rare plants, wildlife, and pristine forest landscapes. Check into the hotel upon arrival, and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore Paro.

Day 05: Paro Sightseeing
Start with a visit to Ta Dzong, Bhutan’s National Museum, housing precious Bhutanese artifacts, followed by Rinpung Dzong, Paro’s administrative and religious center. In the afternoon, explore Drukgyel Dzong, preserved as a heritage site after a fire, and Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

Day 06: Excursion to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)
After breakfast, begin a memorable hike to Taktshang Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff at 10,240 ft. Known as the “Tiger’s Nest,” this sacred site offers awe-inspiring views and a serene ambiance.

Day 07: Excursion to Chele-La Pass
Embark on an excursion to Chele-La Pass (13,088 ft.), Bhutan’s highest motorable point, for panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Paro, exploring at your own pace.

Day 08: Paro Departure
Enjoy breakfast, then transfer to Paro Airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable journey through Bhutan.
