ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Bodhgaya

Arrive in Bodhgaya and check into your hotel. After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a comprehensive city tour. Explore Sujata Village, the Niranjana River, and a selection of international monasteries. Conclude your day with a visit to the Mahabodhi Temple in the evening, a pivotal site where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

Day 02: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda

Following breakfast, set out for an excursion to Rajgir, a revered Buddhist site. Explore Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar Jail, and Ajatashatru’s Fort. After lunch, proceed to Nalanda, one of the world’s oldest universities and a key center for Buddhist studies. Learn about its rich history, including the teachings of Lord Buddha and Jainism’s founder, Lord Mahavir. A monument to the Chinese scholar Xuanzang adds to the historical significance. Return to Bodhgaya in the evening.

Day 03: Bodhgaya – Varanasi

After breakfast, drive to Varanasi, a city sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. Check into your hotel and later visit Sarnath to see the Dhamekha Stupa and Deer Park. Return to Varanasi for the evening.

Day 04: Varanasi – Kushinagar

Begin your day with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges, experiencing the spiritual rituals performed at the ghats. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kushinagar, with lunch en route. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax.

Day 05: Kushinagar – Lumbini

After breakfast, visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, the site of Buddha’s final moments, and Rambhar Stupa, his cremation site. Enjoy lunch at the hotel before driving to Lumbini, Nepal. Ensure you have the necessary visas for India and Nepal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.

Overnight: Lumbini

Day 06: Lumbini – Sravasti

After breakfast, visit Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. Return to your hotel for lunch, then drive to Sravasti. Check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day 07: Sravasti – Lucknow

Explore Sravasti, including the Saheth (Jetvanaram) and Maheth (Angulimal Caves) sites after breakfast. Enjoy lunch at the hotel before driving to Lucknow for your onward journey.

Overnight: Lucknow

Day 08: Departure from Lucknow

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
