Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Welcome to Delhi, a city that intertwines a rich tapestry of history and modernity! Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Delhi, with its intriguing past shaped by Mongols, Turks, Persians, Afghans, Mughals, and the British, stands as the cultural and political capital of the world’s largest democracy. After checking in, enjoy some leisure time to relax.
In the afternoon, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Your journey begins at the stunning Red Fort, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Next, visit Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. As you drive through Chandni Chowk, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling bazaar, once an imperial avenue of Mughal royalty.

Day 02: New Delhi Sightseeing
After a hearty breakfast, set out for a half-day exploration of New Delhi. Begin at the Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its intricate carvings, standing at 234 feet tall. Marvel at the Ashokan Iron Pillar, a scientific wonder that has resisted rust for over 1,500 years. Continue your journey to the Humayun’s Tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal, and the stunning Lakshminarayan Temple.
Drive past iconic landmarks such as India Gate, a memorial for soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I, the President’s Residence (formerly the Viceroy’s Palace), Parliament House, and the Secretariat buildings, showcasing a blend of Victorian and modern architecture. In the evening, experience the Son-et-Lumière show at the Red Fort, a mesmerizing sound and light spectacle that brings to life three centuries of Mughal history.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra Excursion
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and set off for a full-day excursion to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. Agra is home to some of the finest Mughal architecture, most notably the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of eternal love. Visit the magnificent Agra Fort, another UNESCO site that served as the Mughal Empire’s stronghold.
The Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century, took 22 years and 20,000 artisans to complete, using exquisite white marble transported from 200 miles away. Be captivated by the intricate inlay work that makes this architectural wonder truly one-of-a-kind.
Next, explore Fatehpur Sikri, a fortified ghost city founded by Emperor Akbar in 1569, which boasts stunning Islamic architecture blended with Hindu and Jain decorative arts. Notable structures here include Jami Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and Panch Mahal.
After a day rich in history and culture, drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey.
