Day 01: New Delhi – Shimla (360 Kms – 7H 55Min)

Upon arrival at New Delhi airport or railway station, embark on a scenic drive to Shimla, the former summer capital of British India. Nestled in the snow-capped Shivalik Mountains, Shimla offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. En route, visit the picturesque Pinjore Gardens or experience the Ropeway at Timber Trail, Parwanoo. Arrive in Shimla, check into your hotel, and spend the evening exploring The Mall and the iconic Ridge, known for its stunning vistas and the Christ Church, a popular landmark.

Day 02: Shimla

After breakfast, head to Kufri, renowned for its Himalayan National Park, pony and yak rides, and panoramic Himalayan views. Post-lunch, explore Shimla’s notable landmarks, including the Shimla Mosque (1830), Vice Regal Lodge (1885), Christ Church (1844), Gaiety Theatre (1887), Grindlays Bank (1912), Scandal Point, and The Mall, a famous shopping plaza.

Day 03: Shimla – Manali (251 Kms – 6H 55Min)

Travel from Shimla to Manali, with en route stops at the scenic Kullu Valley, Beas River, and Dashehra Maidan. Upon arrival, check into your Manali hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 04: Manali

Begin your day with a visit to the 450-year-old Hidimba Devi Temple, the oldest temple in Manali. Explore the Tibetan Center & Monastery, Vasisth Village (famous for its hot sulfur springs), and the Roerich Art Gallery. Visit Solang Valley for stunning views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks, and also see Kothi and Rahala Waterfalls (subject to weather and road conditions). Enjoy a leisurely stroll down Mall Road.

Day 05: Rohtang Pass (51.2 Kms – 1H 46Min)

Early morning, embark on an excursion to the awe-inspiring Rohtang Pass, situated at an altitude of 3978 meters. En route, visit Kothi and Rahala Waterfalls (subject to weather and road conditions). Return to Manali and spend the evening at leisure or exploring Mall Road.

Day 06: Manali – Dharamshala (241 Kms – 6H 54Min)

Drive from Manali to Dharamshala, stopping at Baijnath to visit the Shiva Temple and Palampur for its renowned tea gardens. Dharamshala, set against the Dhauladhar Mountains, offers stunning scenery and has gained prominence as “The Little Lhasa in India” since becoming the temporary headquarters of His Holiness The Dalai Lama in 1960.

Day 07: Dharamshala – Dalhousie (117 Kms – 3H 29Min)

Post-breakfast, drive to Dalhousie. En route, visit local attractions in Dharamshala including the Dalai Lama’s residence in McLeod Ganj, War Memorial, Bhagsunath Temple, and Dal Lake. Arrive in Dalhousie in the evening and check into your hotel.

Day 08: Dalhousie

Explore Dalhousie, named after the 19th-century British Governor-General, Lord Dalhousie. Surrounded by lush vegetation, including pines, deodars, oaks, and flowering rhododendrons, local sightseeing includes visits to Panjpula, Subhash Baoli, and a scenic excursion to Khajjiar, known as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” surrounded by dense deodar forests.

Day 09: Dalhousie – Amritsar (202 Kms – 4H 12Min)

Drive from Dalhousie to Amritsar. Check into your pre-booked hotel and, after freshening up, visit the Golden Temple, Mata Mandir, and Jallianwala Bagh. Enjoy the rich culture and history of Amritsar.

Overnight: Amritsar

Day 10: Amritsar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the Wagah Border to witness the impressive Beating Retreat Ceremony. Proceed to Amritsar Railway Station/Airport for your onward journey home.
