ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati Arrive at Guwahati Airport, the gateway to Northeast India. Meet and greet with our local representative, followed by a transfer to your hotel. Start your exploration with a visit to the Kamakhya Temple, perched on Nilachal Hill, offering panoramic views of the Brahmaputra River and the city. This revered site is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas in India and holds significant cultural and spiritual importance.

Next, visit the Assam State Zoo, spanning 130 hectares and featuring a natural forest. It houses diverse wildlife and a botanical garden, making it a green oasis in the city.

In the evening, you have the option to enjoy a river cruise on the Brahmaputra from Panbazar Jetty (additional cost). Experience the stunning riverine landscapes and city views from the water.

Overnight: Guwahati

Day 02: Guwahati to Kaziranga (170 Kms – 3H 18Min) After breakfast, transfer to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity. This park is famed for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses and is home to a range of wildlife including tigers, elephants, and various bird species.

On arrival, check into your hotel and embark on an exhilarating Jeep Safari with an expert naturalist, exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems. In the evening, you may choose to visit a local Crafts Center or explore an Assamese village on your own.

Overnight: Kaziranga

Day 03: Kaziranga Safari Early in the morning, enjoy an Elephant Ride at 5:00 AM, offering an exceptional view of Kaziranga’s diverse wildlife and vast grasslands. This serene experience allows you to observe one-horned rhinos, wild buffalo, tigers, and a variety of bird species including the crested serpent eagle and Bengal florican from an unparalleled vantage point.

The remainder of the day is free for relaxation or personal exploration.

Overnight: Kaziranga

Day 04: Kaziranga to Guwahati (193 Kms – 3H 49Min) After breakfast, return to Guwahati and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
