ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati

Upon your arrival in Guwahati, a representative from Basil Leaf will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and unwind.

Overnight Stay: Guwahati.

Day 02: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before visiting the renowned Kamakhya Temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. After paying homage to the mother goddess Kamakhya, return to the hotel for check-out and proceed to Kaziranga National Park. Upon arrival, check into your Jungle Resort. In the afternoon, explore a nearby Tea Estate, followed by an evening cultural show.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park

Start your day early at 5:30 AM with an exciting Elephant Safari through the central and eastern ranges of Kaziranga National Park, followed by a Jeep Safari. Return to the hotel for lunch, where you can relive your morning adventure. In the afternoon, embark on a Jeep Safari through the western range of the park.

Day 04: Kaziranga – Shillong

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and set off for Shillong (approximately 280 kilometers, 6 hours). En route, stop at Borapani Umiam Lake for lunch, where you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the local market.

Day 05: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Cherrapunjee, famed for being one of the wettest places on Earth. Visit the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls and explore nearby caves. On your way back to Shillong, visit Shillong Peak and the picturesque Elephanta Falls.

Day 06: Shillong – Guwahati

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out for a sightseeing tour of Shillong, including visits to Hydari Park and Ward’s Lake. Known as the ‘Scotland of the East,’ Shillong offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Consider indulging in some local cuisine at a nearby restaurant. Return to your hotel and spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 07: Departure from Guwahati

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
