ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Arrival in Haridwar – Transfer to Uttarkashi (192 Km / 7 to 8 hours)

Upon arrival in Haridwar, embark on a scenic drive to Uttarkashi, situated along the banks of the sacred river Bhagirathi. Check into your hotel upon arrival. Spend the evening visiting the revered Vishwanath Temple, a significant pilgrimage site. Enjoy dinner and unwind with an overnight stay at the hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 02: Uttarkashi – Excursion to Gangotri – Return to Uttarkashi (100 Km / 3 to 4 hours)

After an early breakfast, set out for Gangotri, nestled in the breathtaking Garhwal Himalayas at an elevation of 3,048 meters. Experience a holy dip in the pristine waters of the Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi at its source. Visit the stunning 18th-century Gangotri Temple, constructed of white granite and dedicated to Goddess Ganga, revered as the spot where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. Following your spiritual rituals, return to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (190 Km / 7 to 8 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take the rest of the day to explore the picturesque town of Guptkashi, known for its spiritual significance. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation in Guptkashi.

Day 04: Guptkashi to Sonprayag – Trek to Kedarnath (30 Km drive + 20 Km trek)

Begin your day early with breakfast before checking out. Drive to Sonprayag, where your trek to Kedarnath begins. The 20 km trek offers beautiful views, with the Mandakini River by your side. You may choose to hire a Doli or a horse for your convenience (additional costs apply). As you ascend, share the path with fellow pilgrims chanting “Jai Bholenath.” Upon arrival in Kedarnath, check in to government camps or lodges for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Kedarnath to Sonprayag – Drive to Guptkashi/Rudraprayag (20 Km trek + 30/55 Km drive)

Awake before dawn and prepare for a profound spiritual experience at the Kedarnath Temple, arriving by 4:45 AM for the ‘Abhishek’ ceremony. After your darshan and puja, return to the government camps for a meal. Then, embark on the return trek back to Sonprayag. Your vehicles will await you for the drive to either Guptkashi or Rudraprayag. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your chosen hotel.

Day 06: Guptkashi/Rudraprayag to Badrinath via Joshimath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hours)

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and drive towards Badrinath, stopping in Joshimath along the way. Upon arrival in Badrinath, check into your hotel and refresh before visiting the famous Badrinath Temple for darshan. Don’t miss the opportunity to bathe in the Tapt Kund (hot springs) prior to entering the temple. The majestic temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, stands at 15 meters tall and is an architectural marvel. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 07: Badrinath to Joshimath – Local Sightseeing – Birahi/Rudraprayag/Srinagar (165 Km / 5 to 6 hours)

Begin your day with a visit to the Badrinath Temple for morning darshan. Afterward, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before exploring local attractions such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple. In the afternoon, drive back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, with the evening free to discover the spiritual town of Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 08: Rudraprayag/Srinagar to Rishikesh – Drop at Haridwar (160 Km / 5 to 6 hours)

Enjoy an early breakfast before driving downhill to Rishikesh, known as the Yoga capital of the world. Visit iconic landmarks like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere. In the evening, continue your journey to Haridwar for a drop at the Railway Station, concluding your unforgettable Chardham Yatra.
