Koh Rong – Phnom Penh 6D5N (Responsible Package)

Day1: Phnom Penh – Koh Rong (B)

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh Airport in Cambodia, you will be welcomed by your English-speaking guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The official check-in time is 2pm, However,  an early check-in may be available on request, subject to room availability and this is subject to an additional charge.

We will transfer from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville in a private van via the Expressway, a 3-hour journey without a guide. Upon arrival, we will take a 60-minute ferry ride to Koh Rong Island. After check-in at the resort, enjoy a relaxing afternoon. In the evening, take a beach walk and admire the sunset.

Day2: Optional Adventure Activities in Koh Rong (B/D)

Start the morning with a snorkeling tour to explore vibrant coral reefs, followed by kayaking and paddleboarding along the coast. In the afternoon, embark on a jungle trek to Sok San Waterfall. End the day with a BBQ dinner by the beach.

Day3: Optional Water Sports and Adventure in Koh Rong (B)

Spend the day scuba diving or on an island-hopping boat tour. Enjoy lunch at the resort, then relax on the beach or explore a nearby village. In the evening, opt for a late-night plankton tour to swim with glowing bioluminescent plankton. Scuba Diving and Glowing Bioluminescent Plankton Tour: $145 USD/person

Day4: Koh Rong – Phnom Penh – Sunset Cruise (B/L/D)

Check-out and ferry ride back to Sihanoukville (60-mins). Transfer from pier to Phnom Penh in a private van via the Expressway, a 3-hour journey without a guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The official check-in time is 2pm, However, an early check-in may be available on request, subject to room availability and this is subject to  an additional charge. You then have the rest of the day at your leisure to settle into your new surroundings in the historic Cambodian city of Phnom Penh. Lunch at Indian restaurant.

In the evening, experience the sunset over the Mekong River Cruise. Cruise along Phnom Penh’s landmarks like the Royal Palace and the floating villages of Tonle Sap and Mekong. Witness the golden colors of Phnom Penh’s skyline when the sun is set. We return to the hotel and the remaining time is free at leisure to explore pub street and night markets on your own. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Indian restaurant. The guide and transport are available until 9 pm.

Day5: Phnom Penh Tour (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. We get our first experience of local life by embarking on a cyclo tour of the bustling capital. The three-wheel bicycle rickshaw has been used to transport people and goods since French colonial times. We start from the hotel down to the Independence Monument, an impressive structure that sits at the centre of a roundabout. Dating back to 1958, it was created to mark the country’s independence from France in 1953. Next, visit to the Silver Pagoda and adjacent Royal Palace. Home to Cambodia’s official royal residence, the grounds are awash with regal structures, intimate temples, collections of gifts from foreign leaders and murals that paint a picture of the country’s past. We also stop at Wat Phnom, an ancient hilltop temple and compact park that marks the official center of the city.

Please note: Guests will have to sign a disclaimer form before taking part in the cyclo activity. This will be provided by the guide in Phnom Penh. Visitors to the National Museums are required to keep their knees and shoulders covered.

Next, is the National Museum to view ancient artefacts dating from the pre-Angkor era. After lunch, we headed to centrally located Street 178 to view skilled artisans fashioning ornate sculptures. We can join a hands-on stone carving session under the guidance of a skilled sculptor. Our fascinating journey continues to Street 240 to

A.N.D, a fair-trade brand that collaborates with artisans, some with disabilities, who create jewellery, clothes and accessories. Later we take a sober visit to The Killing Field and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Also known as S-21, it served as a Khmer Rouge prisoner camp, were tens of thousands of Cambodians died. After that, time for shopping at Central Market, where we can put our haggling skills to the test and barter for souvenirs.

Day6: Phnom Penh Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Free time at your own leisure till departure transfer to airport en route shopping.
