ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar

Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. If time permits, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour, visiting the Tribal Museum (closed on Mondays) and the ancient Khandagiri and Udaigiri Jain caves. These rock-cut caves are significant for their Buddhist and Jain influences in Odisha.

Overnight: Bhubaneswar

Day 2: Bhubaneswar – Dhauli – Hirapur – Pipli – Raghurajpur – Puri

After breakfast, drive to Puri with several fascinating stops along the way. Visit Dhauli, home to the Buddhist Stupa and Peace Pagoda; Hirapur, famous for the 64 Yogini Temple; Pipli, known for its exquisite appliqué work; and Raghurajpur, an artisan village renowned for Pattachitra paintings, palm leaf engravings, and more. Upon arrival in Puri, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit the sacred Lord Jagannath Temple (non-Hindus are not permitted inside) or relax on Puri’s golden beach.

Overnight: Puri

Day 3: Puri – Chilika Lake – Puri

In the morning, take a scenic drive to Satapada, where you’ll explore Chilika Lake, the largest brackish water lake in Asia. Enjoy a boat cruise to spot the elusive Irrawaddy dolphins and visit Rajhans Island. Return to Puri in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day relaxing on the golden beach.

Day 4: Puri – Konark

After breakfast, drive to Konark, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sun Temple, famously known as the Black Pagoda. En route, visit the Ramchandi Temple. Upon arrival, check in to an eco-resort. In the afternoon, visit the International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga Beach, known for its pristine sands and peaceful ambiance. In the evening, attend the Konark Dance & Music Festival, where renowned artists perform classical and folk dances in the stunning backdrop of the Sun Temple’s Natyashala.

Overnight: Konark

Day 5: Konark – Bhubaneswar

After breakfast, drive back to Bhubaneswar. Spend the day exploring the city’s famous temples, including Lingaraj Temple, Parsurameswar Temple, Mukteswar Temple (the ‘gem of Orissan architecture’), and Rajarani Temple. Check in to your hotel and later visit Nandankanan Zoo (closed on Mondays), famous for its white tiger safari.

Overnight: Bhubaneswar

Day 6: Departure from Bhubaneswar

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
