ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1 (Wednesday): Departure from New Delhi

Arrive at Safdarjung Railway Station by 4:30 PM for a royal welcome, complete with garlanding, tikka, and turban-tying ceremonies. After check-in, enjoy a complimentary welcome drink in the Bar Lounge, followed by a photoshoot with the Palace on Wheels staff. Your personal attendant will escort you to your luxurious cabin. The train departs at 6:30 PM, with dinner served onboard.

Day 2 (Thursday): Jaipur – The Pink City

Start the day with breakfast onboard, then receive a royal elephant welcome at Jaipur Railway Station. Visit iconic landmarks like St. Albert Museum, Pink City Palace, and the Jantar Mantar observatory. After a photo stop at Hawa Mahal, head to the Amber Fort for a thrilling elephant ride and lunch at 1135 AD Restaurant. Explore Jaipur’s vibrant markets before returning to the train by 6:00 PM. Dinner is served onboard as the train departs for its next destination.

Day 3 (Friday Morning): Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve

Wake up early for a 6:30 AM jungle safari at Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, where you’ll have the chance to spot tigers and other wildlife. Return to the train for breakfast at 10:00 AM before departing for Chittorgarh.

Day 3 (Friday Afternoon): Chittorgarh Hill Fort

Arrive in Chittorgarh by 4:00 PM and explore the grand Chittorgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stay for an evening Sound & Light show before returning to the train for dinner. Departure is post-midnight.

Day 4 (Saturday): Udaipur – The City of Lakes

Arrive in Udaipur by 8:00 AM and visit the magnificent City Palace, followed by a boat ride on Lake Pichola and lunch at Fatehprakash Palace Hotel. Explore the Royal Gardens at Saheliyon Ki Bari before returning to the train by 3:00 PM. Dinner is served onboard as you depart.

Day 5 (Sunday): Jaisalmer – Oasis in the Desert

After breakfast, explore Jaisalmer Fort and its vibrant markets. Visit Patwon ki Haveli and the intricate Jain Temples. After lunch, enjoy a camel ride and cultural program at the Sam Sand Dunes before returning to the train for departure.

Day 6 (Monday): Jodhpur – Heart of Marwar

Arrive in Jodhpur by 8:00 AM and visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhawan Palace. After lunch at Hanwant Mahal Boutique Restaurant, return to the train by 3:30 PM. Dinner is served onboard.

Day 7 (Tuesday Early Morning): Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Arrive at Bharatpur by 6:30 AM for a cycle rickshaw tour of the UNESCO-listed Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. After breakfast, the train departs for Agra.

Day 7 (Tuesday Noon): Agra – The City of the Taj Mahal

Arrive in Agra by 10:30 AM and visit Agra Fort, followed by lunch at the ITC Mughal Hotel. Later, visit the iconic Taj Mahal and enjoy shopping before returning to the train for dinner.

Day 8 (Wednesday): Return to New Delhi

The Palace on Wheels arrives at Safdarjung Railway Station by 5:30 AM. After breakfast onboard, check out by 7:15 AM, concluding your week-long royal adventure.
