ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatisation

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, our representative will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. As Leh is situated at an altitude of over 11,500 feet, the day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey ahead.  Day specially kept free for Acclimatisation.

Overnight: Crown Himalaya, Leh

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing & Monastery Prayer Experience

Begin your day with a visit to a traditional Ladakhi monastery, where you will participate in a special prayer session with resident monks and experience the spiritual essence of the Himalayas.

Later, explore some of Leh’s renowned attractions, including:

  • Shanti Stupa
  • Leh Palace
  • Hall of Fame Museum
  • Local markets and traditional bazaars

Spend the evening at leisure exploring Leh town.

Overnight: Crown Himalaya, Leh

Day 3: Leh – Pangong Lake (Approx. 225 km | 5–6 Hours)

After breakfast, drive towards the world-famous Pangong Lake via the spectacular Chang La Pass (17,586 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world.

Witness dramatic mountain landscapes, crystal-clear streams, and breathtaking Himalayan vistas along the route. Upon arrival, enjoy the mesmerizing changing colours of Pangong Lake and a peaceful evening by the lakeshore.

Day 4: Pangong Lake – Hanle (Approx. 180 km | 5–6 Hours)

Today, journey through the remote and pristine Changthang Plateau, one of Ladakh’s most fascinating regions. Pass through isolated villages, nomadic settlements, and vast high-altitude landscapes rarely seen by mainstream travelers.

Arrive in Hanle, home to one of the world’s highest astronomical observatories and renowned for its exceptionally clear skies.

  • Opportunity to witness the Milky Way, constellations, and celestial wonders under pristine night skies

Overnight: The Sky Abode, Hanle

Day 5: Hanle – Leh (Approx. 260 km | 6–7 Hours)

After breakfast, visit the historic Hanle Monastery and explore the observatory area, offering magnificent views of the surrounding valley.

Later, drive back to Leh through Ladakh’s spectacular high-altitude desert landscapes. The evening is free for shopping, café visits, or simply relaxing before your departure.

Day 6: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s mountains, monasteries, lakes, and star-filled skies.
