ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 01: Paro – Thimphu (50.8 Kms | 1H 19Min)
Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital. After check-in, enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the town on foot. Stroll through the markets and immerse yourself in the local culture.
Overnight: Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the iconic Kuensel Phodrang Buddha Statue, offering panoramic views of Thimphu. Explore the National Memorial Chorten, an important site of worship, and the Folk Heritage Museum, which preserves Bhutan’s cultural history. In the afternoon, head to the Sangaygang Viewpoint, Changangkha Monastery, and the Takin Preserve Center to see Bhutan’s national animal. Visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, home to the King’s office and the central monastic body.

Day 03: Thimphu – Dochu La Pass – Punakha/Wangdue (71.6 Kms | 1H 54Min)
After breakfast, depart for Punakha, driving through the stunning Dochu La Pass, known for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Punakha Dzong, a historic fortress and administrative center. Visit Chhimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, built by the divine Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 04: Gangtey (Phobjikha) Excursion
Embark on a full-day excursion to Gangtey, a picturesque valley known for its Black-Necked Cranes that migrate from Tibet. Visit Gangtey Gompa, a peaceful monastery offering breathtaking views. In the evening, return to Punakha for overnight rest.

Day 05: Punakha/Wangdue – Paro (113 Kms | 2H 52Min)
After breakfast, drive to Paro, making a stop at the Royal Botanical Park in Lamperi, known for its rich biodiversity. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Ta Dzong National Museum, housing an impressive collection of Bhutanese arts and antiques. Explore Rinpung Dzong, the fortress that serves as Paro’s administrative and judicial center. The evening is free for leisure.

Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the historic Drukgyel Dzong. Explore the famous Taktsang Monastery, also known as the “Tiger’s Nest,” after a scenic 2-hour hike to its dramatic perch on the cliffside. Also visit the serene Kyichu Monastery, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.

Day 07: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of this unforgettable Bhutan tour.
