Day 01: Arrival at NJP Railway Station/IXB Airport – Phuentsholing (152 Kms – 3H 38Min)
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport and meet your representative for your transfer to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan by road. Situated on the northern edge of the Indian plains, Phuentsholing is a bustling commercial hub. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax.

Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu (165 Kms – 4H 34Min)
After a hearty breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and embark on your scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Situated at 7,710 ft., Thimphu is a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Check-in at your hotel and unwind. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the fortress that houses the government and the central monastic body.

Day 03: Thimphu – Dochu-La-Pass – Punakha/Wangdue (71.6 Kms – 1H 54Min)
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Thimphu, starting with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), the National Memorial Chorten, and the Folk Heritage Museum. Later, transfer to Punakha/Wangdue, traveling via the scenic Dochu-La-Pass (10,170 ft.), offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The pass is also home to 108 Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chortens, which are believed to bring merit to all sentient beings. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival.

Day 04: Excursion to Gangtey (Phobjikha)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Gangtey (9,840 ft.), home to the endangered Black-Necked Cranes that migrate from Tibet. Day 05: Punakha/Wangdue – Paro (113 Kms – 2H 52Min)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and visit Punakha Dzong, a historic fortress that served as the seat of government and remains the winter residence of Bhutan’s Je-Khenpo (Chief Abbot). Then, visit Chhimi Lhakhang, known as the Temple of Fertility. Afterward, continue your drive to Paro, check-in at your hotel, and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, visit the Ta Dzong (National Museum), home to a rich collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Continue your sightseeing with a visit to Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress serving as the administrative seat of Paro district. In the afternoon, visit the preserved Drukgyel Dzong, a heritage site destroyed by fire in 1951, and Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
