ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, embark on an afternoon city tour of Delhi. Visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and the Gandhi Museum. Drive past the iconic India Gate, the President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhawan), government buildings, and Parliament House. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Qutub Minar.

Day 02: Delhi – Agra (213 Kms – 3H 27Min)

After breakfast, drive to Agra and check in at your hotel. After lunch, visit the world-renowned Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Day 03: Agra – Lucknow (336 Kms – 4H 5Min)

Post-breakfast, drive to Lucknow. En route, visit Sankasia, a significant Buddhist site where Lord Buddha is believed to have descended from heaven to deliver a sermon to his mother. Continue your journey to Lucknow and check into your hotel.

Day 04: Lucknow – Varanasi (320 Kms – 6H 30Min)

After an early breakfast, explore Lucknow before driving to Varanasi. Check into your hotel upon arrival and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 05: Varanasi

Start your day with an early morning boat ride on the River Ganges to witness the bathing ghats and the spiritual rituals performed there. After breakfast, visit Sarnath, the site of Buddha’s first sermon, and partake in a Pirith ceremony.

Day 06: Varanasi – Bodhgaya (255 Kms – 5H 40Min)

After breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring at your own pace.

Day 07: Bodhgaya

Begin your day with a visit to the Mahabodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Explore the Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, and Sujata Temple. In the afternoon, visit the Dungeshwari Caves.

Overnight: Bodhgaya

Day 08: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda

After an early breakfast, drive to Rajgir. Visit Vulture Peak, the hot springs, the World Peace Stupa, and the Bamboo Grove. Continue to Nalanda to explore the ruins of one of the world’s oldest universities. Return to Bodhgaya in the evening.

Day 09: Bodhgaya – Vaishali (143 Kms – 4H 38Min)

After an early breakfast, drive to Vaishali. Check into your hotel and visit the Maha Parinirvana Temple (where Buddha is believed to have taken his last breath), Rambhar Stupa (the cremation site of Buddha), and the Japanese Temple.

Day 10: Vaishali – Kushinagar (214 Kms – 5H 7Min)

Post-breakfast, drive to Kushinagar, renowned for being the site where Buddha passed away and was cremated. Explore significant sites such as Rambhar Stupa, the Mahaparinirvana Temple with its reclining Buddha figure, the Indo-Japan Sri Lanka Buddhist Center, and various monasteries.

Day 11: Kushinagar – Lumbini (139 Kms – 4H 17Min)

After breakfast, drive to Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Stop at the India-Nepal border for visa and immigration formalities. Check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day 12: Lumbini – Sravasti via Kapilavastu (187 Kms – 5H 6Min)

After breakfast, visit Lumbini’s sacred sites. Continue your journey to Sravasti, stopping en route at Kapilavastu, where Buddha spent his childhood and see the ruins of the ancient palaces. Upon arrival in Sravasti, check into your hotel. After lunch, explore Sravasti, including Jetavana and the Ananda Bodhi Tree.

Day 13: Sravasti – Lucknow (179 Kms – 4H 2Min)

After breakfast, drive to Lucknow. Conclude your journey with transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
