ITINERARY OVERVIEW
5 Nights – 6 Days Itinerary: Chardham Yatra
Day 01: Arrival in Haridwar and Transfer to Guptkashi (205 Km / 7 to 8 hours)
Arrive in Haridwar and embark on a scenic drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the charming town of Guptkashi, known for its serene landscapes and spiritual significance. Enjoy dinner and relax for the night at your hotel or campsite.
Day 02: Guptkashi to Kedarnath via Sonprayag (30 Km Drive + 20 Km Trek)
After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag, the starting point of your Kedarnath trek. From Sonprayag, embark on a 20 km trek to Kedarnath, where the majestic Kedarnath Temple awaits. The trek can be made easier by hiring a Doli or horse (at additional cost). As you trek alongside fellow pilgrims, feel the spiritual energy in the air. Upon reaching Kedarnath, check into government camps or lodges for an overnight stay. Enjoy dinner and rest for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the mountains.
Day 03: Kedarnath Temple Darshan and Return Trek to Guptkashi/Rudraprayag (20 Km Trek + 30 Km Drive)
Rise before dawn for a spiritual experience at the Kedarnath Temple. Attend the ‘Abhishek’ ceremony at approximately 4:45 AM, where you can enter the Garbha Griha to seek blessings. After darshan and rituals, return to your accommodation for breakfast. Then, begin your descent with a 20 km trek back to Sonprayag. Your vehicle will be waiting for you to drive back to either Guptkashi or Rudraprayag for an overnight stay. Enjoy dinner and some leisure time in the town.
Day 04: Guptkashi/Rudraprayag to Badrinath via Joshimath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hours)
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Badrinath, passing through Joshimath along picturesque ghat roads. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and refresh. In the evening, prepare for your visit to the Badrinath Temple. Before entering the temple, take a dip in the Tapt Kund (hot spring). Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple stands 15 meters tall and is an architectural marvel. After your spiritual visit, return to your hotel for dinner and a restful night.
Day 05: Badrinath Local Sightseeing and Return to Rudraprayag/Srinagar/Birahi (165 Km / 5 to 6 hours)
This morning, visit the Badrinath Temple for another darshan, then return to your hotel for breakfast. Afterward, enjoy local sightseeing in Badrinath, including visits to Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple. In the afternoon, drive back to Rudraprayag, a sacred town at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Check into your hotel upon arrival, and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Rudraprayag/Srinagar/Birahi to Rishikesh and Departure to Haridwar (160 Km / 5 to 6 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, renowned as the Yoga capital of the world. Explore this spiritual city, visiting iconic sites like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. After sightseeing, continue your journey to Haridwar, where you will be dropped off at the Haridwar Railway Station for your onward journey.
