ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Arrival in Phuentsholing (152 km, approx. 3 hrs 40 min)
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), where you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to Phuentsholing, the gateway town on Bhutan’s Indian border. This vibrant commercial hub provides your first glimpse into Bhutan’s unique culture. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 02: Phuentsholing to Thimphu (165 km, approx. 4 hrs 30 min)
After breakfast, complete immigration formalities before embarking on a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the magnificent Tashichho Dzong, a fortress that serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body, renowned for its stunning architecture and serene surroundings.

Day 03: Thimphu to Paro (50 km, approx. 1 hr 15 min)
Start your day with a tour of Thimphu’s key landmarks, beginning with the iconic Kuensel Phodrang, featuring the towering Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a revered monument, and the Folk Heritage Museum for a window into traditional Bhutanese life. Afterward, transfer to Paro and check in at your hotel.

Day 04: Cultural Immersion in Paro
After breakfast, delve into Paro’s rich heritage with a visit to Ta Dzong, the National Museum, home to fascinating Bhutanese artifacts and artwork. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an architectural marvel serving as Paro’s administrative and religious center. In the afternoon, explore Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress offering captivating views, and wrap up with Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
