Day 01: Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimphu
Upon your arrival at Paro Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital city situated at an elevation of 7,710 ft. After checking in at your hotel, take the afternoon to explore Thimphu’s charming streets at your leisure, immersing yourself in the local culture and atmosphere.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a day of exploration in Thimphu. Start with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang, home to the majestic Buddha Dordenma statue, offering stunning views of the valley. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a prominent monument dedicated to the memory of the Third King, and explore the Folk Heritage Museum for insights into traditional Bhutanese life.

In the afternoon, visit Sangaygang View Point for breathtaking panoramic views, followed by Changangkha Monastery, a serene spiritual site. Don’t miss the Takin Preserve Centre, where you can see Bhutan’s national animal, the takin. Conclude your day with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the fortress of the glorious religion, serving as the seat of the central monastic body and government.

Day 03: Thimphu to Paro
After breakfast, you’ll transfer back to Paro. En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, a remarkable temple built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo, known for its iron bridge. After crossing the ancient bridge to reach the temple, continue to Paro and check in at your hotel.

In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum, which houses a remarkable collection of Bhutanese art, relics, and religious thangkas. Next, explore Rinpung Dzong, meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels,” which serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro.

Day 04: Paro Exploration
After breakfast, visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Then, prepare for an unforgettable experience at Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the “Tiger’s Nest.” This iconic monastery, perched on a cliff, requires a scenic 2-hour hike from the base camp. After your hike, visit Kichu Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Bhutan, steeped in history and spirituality.

Day 05: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and receive a transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey.
