ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati and Transfer to Shillong (130 KM / 3 hrs drive) – Meghalaya

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport or railway station, you will be greeted by our representative. Enjoy a scenic drive to Shillong, stopping en route at the picturesque Umiam Lake (Barapani Lake). Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at your leisure.

Day 02: Full Day Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 KM / 2 hrs drive one way) – Meghalaya

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Cherrapunjee, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. Visit the majestic Noh Kalikai Falls, the stunning Dwan Syiem Viewpoint, and the intriguing Mawsmai Caves. Explore the Seven Sister Waterfalls and, on your return, stop by Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the vibrant Police Bazaar.

Day 03: Shillong to Tezpur/Bhalukpong (350 KM / 8-9 hrs drive) – Assam

Post breakfast, drive to Tezpur/Bhalukpong, known for its scenic beauty. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, allowing yourself to unwind after the long journey.

Day 04: Tezpur/Bhalukpong to Dirang via Tippi (180 KM / 6 hrs drive) – Arunachal Pradesh

After breakfast, proceed to Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. En route, visit the Tippi Orchid Sanctuary, which hosts over 500 species of orchids. Arrive in Dirang, check in to your hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, surrounded by the serene beauty of the region.

Day 05: Dirang to Tawang (150 KM / 6 hrs drive) – Arunachal Pradesh

Following breakfast, drive to Tawang. Cross the impressive Sella Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the Eastern Himalayas at approximately 14,000 feet above sea level. Take in the serene views of Paradise Lake amidst snow-clad peaks. Arrive in Tawang, known for its cultural richness and the Monpa tribes, and check in to your hotel.

Day 06: Tawang Sightseeing (Arunachal Pradesh)

After breakfast, explore the historic Tawang Monastery, which is over 400 years old and the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Visit the Jaswantgarh Army Memorial at Nuranang, dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, who was awarded the Mahavir Chakra posthumously. The evening is free for shopping and local exploration.

Day 07: Tawang to Bomdila (185 KM / 7 hrs drive) – Arunachal Pradesh

After breakfast, transfer to Bomdila. In the evening, visit the Bomdila Monastery, which offers stunning views and a glimpse into the local Buddhist culture.

Day 08: Bomdila to Kaziranga National Park (260 KM / 7-8 hrs drive) – Assam

Post breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park, renowned for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening, preparing for the wildlife adventure ahead.

Day 09: Kaziranga National Park – Jeep Safari and Cultural Experience (Assam)

Start your day with an early morning elephant ride (subject to availability). After breakfast or lunch, embark on a Jeep safari in the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park to explore its diverse wildlife. In the evening, experience an Assamese cultural dance show at the Rang Sandhya auditorium (Bihu Dance & Jhoomar Dance – tickets at your own expense). The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 10: Kaziranga to Guwahati (250 KM / 4 hrs drive) – Assam

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Optionally, you can enjoy an evening river cruise on the Brahmaputra River (at your own cost).

Day 11: Kamakhya Temple Visit and Departure from Guwahati

Following breakfast, check out from your hotel and visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, a major pilgrimage site. After the temple visit, transfer to Guwahati airport or railway station for your onward journey.
