ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 01: Delhi to Haridwar (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)
Arrive in Haridwar and check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Enjoy dinner and relax with an overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 02: Haridwar to Barkot/Karsali (205 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)
After breakfast, depart for Barkot, nestled at the foothills of Yamunotri. En route, stop by Kempt Falls for a refreshing experience. Upon arrival in Barkot, check in at your hotel or camp. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to rest and prepare for the upcoming Pahad Yatra to Yamunotri. Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.
Day 03: Barkot/Kharsali to Yamunotri and back (48 Km / 2 hrs drive + 6 Km trek)
Post breakfast, drive to Hanumanchatti (40 Km) and then to Janki Chatti (8 Km). From here, embark on the 6 Km trek to Yamunotri (a horse or Doli can be hired at your own cost). The trek unfolds through verdant valleys adorned with conifers and rhododendrons. Upon reaching Yamunotri (altitude 3,291 m), take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform rituals at the temple. Return to Barkot via the same route, check in at your accommodation, enjoy dinner, and spend the night at Barkot.
Day 04: Barkot/Kharsali to Uttarkashi (85 Km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Uttarkashi, situated along the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Explore the rich historical monuments and temples in Uttarkashi, including a visit to the renowned Vishwanath Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 05: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back (100 Km / 3 to 4 hrs)
Start your day with an early breakfast, then drive to Gangotri, located at an altitude of 3,048 m amidst stunning Himalayan scenery. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges River and visit the exquisite Gangotri Temple, a significant pilgrimage site. After performing your rituals, return to Uttarkashi in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 06: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (190 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)
Enjoy an early breakfast, check out from the hotel, and drive to Guptkashi. Check in at your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the town of Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Day 07: Guptkashi to Sonprayag and Kedarnath (30 Km drive + 20 Km trek)
After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag. Begin your 20 Km trek to Kedarnath, where you can hire a horse or Doli (at your own cost). As you trek, immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance created by fellow pilgrims. Upon arrival in Kedarnath, check in at the government camps/lodges for your overnight stay. Dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 08: Kedarnath to Sonprayag and Guptkashi/Rudraprayag (20 Km trek + 30 Km / 52 Kms drive)
Wake up before dawn, freshen up, and participate in the early morning ‘Abhishek’ ceremony at the Kedarnath Temple. After the rituals, trek back 20 Km to Sonprayag. Your vehicle will be waiting for you for the drive to either Guptkashi or Rudraprayag, where you’ll check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.
Day 09: Rudraprayag/Guptkashi to Joshimath and Badrinath (190 Km / 8 to 9 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Experience the scenic beauty along the way before reaching Badrinath. Check in to your hotel and rest before heading to the Badrinath Temple for evening darshan. Prior to visiting the temple, take a dip in the Tapt Kund (hot spring) to purify yourself. After your temple visit, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 10: Badrinath to Joshimath and Rudraprayag/Birahi/Srinagar (165 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)
Start your day with Badrinath darshan, followed by breakfast at the hotel. Explore local attractions, including Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple. In the afternoon, drive back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Rudraprayag.
Day 11: Rudraprayag/Birahi/Srinagar to Rishikesh and Haridwar (160 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)
Enjoy an early breakfast and drive to Rishikesh, renowned as the “Yoga Capital of the World.” Visit iconic sites like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Later, continue your journey to Haridwar, where you’ll check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 12: Haridwar to Delhi (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on the final leg of your Char Dham Yatra journey as you drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
