Chardham- Yamunotri - Gangotri- Kedarnath - Badrinath

ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar (210 Kms/5 hrs)
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Delhi to Haridwar. Enjoy lunch en route and, upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring the vibrant streets and spiritual ambiance of Haridwar. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri, where the Ganges is celebrated with rituals and prayers. Dinner and overnight stay at The Haveli Hari Ganga or a similar accommodation.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (185 Kms/7 hrs)
After a hearty breakfast, set off for Barkot. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant along the way. As you approach Barkot, you’ll be surrounded by stunning views of snow-capped mountains and lush valleys. Check in at The Chardham Camp in Barkot, where you can relax and unwind. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and back (38 Kms/2 hrs, local taxi drive 7 Kms/1 hr, 6 Kms/3 hrs trek one way)
Following an early breakfast, drive to Hanumanchatti via Syanachatti. From Hanumanchatti, take a local taxi to Jankichatti, where your trek to Yamunotri begins. This 6-km trek takes approximately 3 hours. At the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, you can take a holy dip in the nearby hot springs and participate in traditional rituals. Return to Barkot in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at The Chardham Camp.

Day 4: Barkot to Harsil (151 Kms/6-7 hrs)
After breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Harsil, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. En route, stop at Gangnani for a refreshing dip in the hot water springs. Arrive at The Chardham Camp in Harsil for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Harsil to Gangotri and Uttarkashi (105 Kms)
Enjoy breakfast before heading to Gangotri, where you can take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi at its source. Participate in pooja rituals amid the serene surroundings. After a fulfilling day, return to Harsil for lunch and then proceed to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay at The Chardham Camp, Maneri.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptakashi (212 Kms/9-10 hrs)
After an early breakfast, travel to Guptakashi, a significant pilgrimage site. Check in at The Chardham Camp for dinner and an overnight stay. For smaller vehicles, there’s an alternative route: Uttarkashi-Chaurangikhal-Lumbgaon-Peepaldali-Kirtinagar-Srinagar-Rudraprayag-Aagastmuni-Chandrawali-Guptakashi.

Day 7: Guptakashi to Kedarnath (32 Kms drive-1 hr / 14 Kms trek/5 hrs)
Post-breakfast, proceed to Gaurikund, where you can take a dip at Taptakund. Begin your trek to Kedarnath, which takes approximately 5 hours. In the evening, attend the aarti at Kedarnath Temple, experiencing the spiritual ambiance of this sacred site. Dinner and overnight stay at Punjab & Sindh Awas or a similar accommodation.

Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptakashi (14 Kms trek – 3 hrs / 32 Kms drive – 1 hr)
After breakfast, begin your trek back to Gaurikund, stopping again at Taptakund. Upon reaching Gaurikund, drive back to Guptakashi for dinner and an overnight stay at The Chardham Camp.

Day 9: Guptakashi to Joshimath via Chopta (141 Kms/5-6 hrs)
Enjoy breakfast before heading to Joshimath, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and serene atmosphere. Check in at The Chardham Camp and spend the evening exploring Joshimath at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 10: Joshimath to Badrinath and back (45 Kms drive one way/2 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, participate in the holy darshan and visit the charming Mana Village. Return to Joshimath in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at The Chardham Camp.

Day 11: Joshimath to Haridwar (274 Kms/9-10 hrs)
After breakfast, embark on your journey back to Haridwar. Upon arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, allowing you to reflect on your spiritual experiences. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Haridwar.

Day 12: Haridwar to Delhi (210 Kms/5 hrs)
