Day 1: Arrival in Munnar

Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Munnar, a picturesque hill station nestled at the confluence of three mountain streams—Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. Situated 1,600 meters above sea level, Munnar was once the summer resort of the British in South India. Known for its sprawling tea plantations, charming towns, and winding lanes, Munnar is also home to the rare Neelakurinji flower, which blankets the hills in blue once every twelve years. Towering above the region is Anamudi, the highest peak in South India at 2,695 meters.

Day 2: Exploring Munnar

After a delightful breakfast, set out to explore the beauty of Munnar. Begin with a visit to the Mattupetty Photo Point, a picturesque spot ideal for capturing memories. Continue to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy serene views and perhaps a boat ride. Next, head to Echo Point, a natural wonder where your voice echoes back to you, creating a fun and unique experience. Conclude your sightseeing at Kundala Lake, surrounded by lush tea estates. Here, you can indulge in a peaceful boat ride before returning to your hotel.

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar and drive towards Thekkady, located near the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border. En route, visit the aromatic spice plantations and bustling spice markets, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich agricultural heritage. Upon arrival, check into your pre-booked hotel in Thekkady.

Day 4: Thekkady Safari & Departure

Start your day with an early morning safari in the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of India’s finest. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, Periyar is home to diverse wildlife, including tigers, Asian elephants, gaurs, sambars, Nilgiri tahrs, wild boars, spotted deer, and over 265 species of birds. After the safari, drive back to Cochin Airport for your onward journey.
